Coronavirus Crisis

We are mobilized to ensure the safety of our teams and support our clients

Societe Generale is closely monitoring the situation and following instructions given by the World Health Organization (WHO), the authorities in France, and local Polish authorities.

Specific additional measures could locally apply, in relation with stricter instructions by governmental authorities where the Bank operates. We have put in place the necessary measures to ensure business continuity, with consideration for staff and client health and safety as a priority.

As a major, highly funded and strongly capitalized global financial institution, it is Societe Generale’s duty towards the overall market to assess the nature and urgency of its client’s various needs in a responsible manner.

Societe Generale has put in place a business continuity operational set-up in each geography in order to ensure the continuity of all its client and market activities, whilst protecting our staff and clients. Apart for our global markets sales and trading teams that are in majority operating on site, many of our staff now operate through remote access to those banks’ systems which they usually access from the office. In our Polish branch over 90% of employees work remotely.

Our staff has not been available for in-person meetings nor travel for over a month, but we are fully available for meetings via telephone or video calls. Our coverage teams are fully mobilized to advise and help you navigate through this unprecedented situation.
